Texas Hold Em Poker

Texas Hold Em Poker is now the most popular Poker game and you will see it played on the TV and in Poker nights and tournaments in pubs across the U.K.
This Casino game is quite simple once you get the hang of it.

Kings & Queens Fun Casinos have several Poker Tables which offer a slightly different setting to our Roulette & Blackjack Tables as players sit round the Poker table and it involves concentration and composure and involves outwitting your opponent with the hand you have been dealt by our Dealer.

Object of the Game
The object of the game is to produce the best poker hand using the 2 ‘Hole Cards’ you have been dealt (face down) and then the 5 Community Cards which are face up in the middle of the Poker Table for all players to use to make the best Poker hand.

How to Play Texas Hold Em Poker
Players sit around our Poker Table (up to 10 at a time) and our Croupier will start the game by placing a ‘Small Blind’ button next to the player to the dealers left which means he has to bet half the minimum stake (if £2 stake, he has to bet £1) and then our Croupier will place a ‘Big Blind’ button next to the player to the left of the ‘Small Blind’ button. This ‘Big Blind’ has to be the minimum stake( e.g. £2).

Now, the cards are dealt by our Dealer who will discard the top card known as ‘burn’ to ensure no player gains an advantage by seeing this card. Each player is then dealt 2 cards which are known as ‘Hole Cards’ and are dealt face down so only the individual player can see their Poker cards. Each player now decides whether they wish to play on or ‘Fold’ and from left to right, starting from the player to the left of the ‘Big Blind’ button, this is known as the Pre-flop betting round (before the Community Cards are dealt).

Players have 3 options :
Fold, hand their cards in and wait for the next round.
Call : They match the amount of the’ Big Blind’.
Raise : They Raise the betting by putting in double the amount of the ‘Big Blind’.

After this round of betting is complete, the Dealer then deals the first round of Community cards, this is known as The Flop. He/she ‘Burns’ the top card again and then deals 3 cards face up in the middle of the table for all players to see.

Players then decide whether these cards can assist them with a good Poker hand when put with their 2 ‘Hole’ cards.

The next round of betting commences, as before, starting from left to right (a Dealer button is moved around the table so a different Poker player starts the betting each time).

Next is the ‘Turn’ where another Community Card is dealt into the middle of the Poker Table (after top card is ‘burnt’ again) face up for players to use if they wish towards their Poker hand and another round of betting commences.

Finally, the last card is dealt (following ‘Burn’ again) and this is called ‘The River’ and if there are still more than 1 player left in the game, the final round of betting commences.

Finally, we are now at ‘The Showdown’ where each player reveals their best poker hand to try to win the pot of Casino chips. Any player who wishes to fold now doesn’t have to reveal their cards face up if they wish.

The next game now proceeds.
